One of the best things about Hanukkah is having eight nights to make the holiday your own. We have always liked giving each night a little personality, and making the first night Pajama Night is an easy place to start. Put everyone in matching Hanukkah pajamas, light the candles, take the family photos and let the celebration begin.
This year there are more Hanukkah prints than ever, with menorahs, dreidels, latkes, Stars of David, colorful designs and personalized pajamas for the whole family.
Chanukah falls fairly early in December this year, so do not wait until after Thanksgiving to order. Popular prints and family sizes can sell out quickly, and personalized pajamas need even more lead time. Give yourself at least a month for anything customized.
Hanukkah 2026 Candle Lighting
Chanukah for Hebrew Year 5786 begins at sundown with the lighting of the first candle on Friday December 4, 2026 and ends with the lighting of the 8th candle at nightfall on Saturday December 12, 2026.

October 31, 2017 at 12:10 pmI’ve been keeping my eye on the pajamas from Target, but for some reason, they don’t have mens! They don’t even show up on the website. They have womens, kids, toddler, and infant. No mens.

November 2, 2017 at 6:59 pmWe just checked, too. You are so right even though the photo depicts kids, moms and dads. It does not seem as if Target is stocking men’s Chanukah pajamas. They do offer the women’s PJs in size XXL which may actually fit some dads. It might be worth taking a chance and ordering them since returns are so easy at Target. Thanks for letting us know!
